Looking into the arts & cultural visual reviews from the artists point of view, with sketches by Chuck Schultz in the audience. To begin, this design of live performances in several years developed a thorough line from the performance to visualize my vision. To believe in the realization of careful selection, the preliminary sketches and hours of drawing. So, with the articles on Sanctuary City from 2021, and The Half-God of Rain Fall in 2024 it has taken on the mission to cultivate a purpose in the arts. Following the experimental theater at the Wilma Theater, and the FringeArts of political theater and sensitive matter by challenging playwrights. As well as, in the Theater InterAct realism through, The Last Parade, or The Last Yiddish Speaker, which tells us the effect of contemporary art from a moving performance.
The Last Yiddish Speaker by Deborah Zoe Laufer
In 2023, The Last Parade, by Stephanie Satie presented a realist drama, a history of the Jewish Diaspora in reaction to the Ukrainian-Russian War. The Immigration system, the attraction of America, and emotional reaction to the state of being during war time was multiplying emotions on the Russian invasion into Ukraine. In the 24-25 Season InterAct Theater presented The Last Yiddish Speaker, the ancestral, or inherited spirit, of Jewish people living under oppressive circumstances. Chava is played by Satie, in the spirit of the play she leaves us with uncertainty. Was Chava a real character, or simply, a ghost? The suggestive figure of Chava was of one traveling like refugees in exile, and her shadow was like the traditions of Yiddish folklore internalized by future generations.
