FallAwayInto: Corridors of Rememory

In Winter of 2025, FallAwayInto: Corridors of Rememory, by Arielle Julia Brown, a dramatic vocal range, poetic look into the life of sex worker and evangelist, Donna Nicole Booker. It was a gesture, to the status of the trans community to point us toward a new horizon for integration of civil rights and being on the right side of history. The cast was a duo that represented Donna the younger and the older, and Donna’s Mother played by Pamela A. Hooks, who summons her spirit. Donna Nicole Booker, played by Janelle Luster and Nikki Edwards together relay to one another in the past, risk taking her own body, and in the future, her journey as activist, and an advocate for many other victims battling the AIDS epidemic, incarceration of blacks, and many of them sex workers in the 1980’s. With the amazing voice of Jakeya L. Sanders singing out, and calling to her spirit, her life, and her soul.
